A Common Ground
This was originally the name of our regional long table lunches, and is now also the name of the shop Nick Haddow and I own in Hobart. We stock it full of hand picked Tasmanian produce, mostly from small, mum and dad style businesses that pride themselves on quality. This is the kind of food we want to eat ourselves, from cheeses to smallgoods, from jams, honeys and spelt flour to handmade chocolates. (It’s under the stairs at Shop 3, Salamanca Arts Centre, 77 Salamanca Place, Hobart, Mon-Fri 10am-4pm, Sat 8.30am-3pm.)
