Part of my journey of discovery has been documented in three series of Gourmet Farmer, originally screening on SBS. In it I learn how to milk a cow, get my first sheep, learn to brew beer and deal with the vagaries of livestock and life in rural Tasmania. I also get to go fishing and on other adventures with my mates Ross O’Meara and Nick Haddow. I also now run a bigger farm, Fat Pig Farm, and occasionally open the farm to the public for events. A fourth series of Gourmet Farmer, Gourmet Farmer Afloat, six one hour episodes where I sail around Tasmania with Nick and Ross, is due to air in the first half of 2015.
